A Fish in the Hand... [PRIVATE]

Post by Tsubine on Sun May 27, 2018 2:16 am

Elias had been on the run for... He dazed out for a moment, trying to figure out just how long it's been since then. It's not like he brought his pocket calendar with him. There were many things he decided not to bring along with him. What's worse were there things now missing. Whether he had to leave it because of a rush or it had been stolen in some of the smaller towns along the way to where he was heading next. Where his destination happened to be, however, he did not know.

Well, long-term destination. His current destination was, pun intended, a river. One too many carriages had splashed past him through mud. Not only were his boots soggy, but it was just too much by now. Elias now had to deal with that until the upcoming river. He didn't know the name of it, but he knew there was one around here. A couple of the passers-by said that he was around there.

Eventually, he did find it. He followed it over a hill or two to where it widened. He tied his horse to a small tree and did what any reasonable man would do—stripped. Grabbing the small bar of soap he had left, Elias stepped into the cool, rushing water. He started off with washing his clothes. It was hard without a wash board, but he was mainly just trying to get the mud off & deal with what was most likely an odor from travelling. He swore he kept feeling fish touching his legs, but he never saw any. The water even seemed clear enough that she should see one or two. As it continued, he decided to yell in futility at the fish. "Dammit, will you cut it out?"

The river... well, that was her domain. Elves, humans, and other land-species invaded it every now and then, but that was no bother. Celena learned it was an important part of their life. In some ways, she felt the essence of her being kept these fragile creatures alive in many ways. From the animals to those who dominated the land, water was in many ways the only reason they existed. It was an interesting thought, one that fully boosted her ego.

The swiftly moving current was a few miles in from the ocean that she found herself in most of the time. A day of exploration is what this was. She moved by a few villages, watched children play in the water to get away from the heat of the damning sun, and then moved into the shades of forests. Her body was meshed with the water, no different than the current itself and seen in the same light. It wasn't until a nude human caught her attention that she ceased her free movement and swam her way over to get a closer look. It's not like he could see her and Celena had always been curious about these... creatures.

Judging by the broad shoulders, the sharp chin, thicker neck, and strange dangling thing between his legs... Male. She'd seen one or two from far away, but never this close. That.. was an unattractive bit of flesh that she now understood the reason for covering. Yet for some reason, it fascinated her. What he had been feeling was technically her hair running along his skin. When he turned to scold a possible fish, what he saw was probably a freaky sight. While nothing but a body of water, at this close distance, he could see the shape of her face in the water. She stared a moment, blinked and then popped up from the current, her body and clothes forming from the water.

"And if I don't?" she spoke confidently, the melodic tone of her voice almost ethereal in sound. Any part of her body still in water was that, water. She floated there in front of him, the water lifting her to his exact height. She stared at him with no fear at all. He was a stranger, a man, and in the nude. None of that bothered her. "What shall you do in your state? Those of your territory are not fond of being without clothing in front of another... As you've proven with such a... frightened reaction. Haha." She stepped out of the water and onto land, her body forming as she fully left the river. "Explain that to me." she demanded while pointing at his... manhood. "What is it?"

Elias was more than annoyed at the fish. So he began to scold them. But when he turned around to try to catch sight of them... Elias thought his eyes were playing tricks on him. He narrowed them, eyeing what looked like a face. It wasn't his reflection... Which was evidenced by it talking. Then it sprang up. Elias fell backwards. He let out a string of words that were about seven swears run together. This was not what he expected. It's not what anyone would have. He splashed down, his ass hitting smooth rocks. Elias breathed hard.

"What the hell are you?" Elias asked between breaths, still sitting down. He noticed that she was melding with the water. Was she some sort of water spirit? Or was this some mage's attempt at being funny? He didn't know, but he did care. This woman (he assumed it was female, whatever it was) had nearly given him a heart attack. It took him a few seconds to recover and stand, covering himself with the undershirt he was in the midst of washing.

The way the woman spoke almost annoyed him. It was like he was intruding on her or something. There was enough confidence in her tone it could be called derision. "That-that had nothing to do with my being naked. You came out of the water without any sort of warning. Any normal person," the irony of him saying that was not missed, "would have reacted the same, man or woman." Elias watched her glide with the water, then start... walking up the shore. It was such a strange thing to watch, but there was an almost academic interest in it. How did she manage that?

It was then that she asked the only question Elias wasn't expecting. He raised an eyebrow. "You mean... my dick? Do you want to know why it's the size it is or do you just... not know what it exactly is?" She affirmed this. "I... Huh. Well it's just a body part most male creatures use in se—reproductive acts. It's also where we piss from to get rid of filtered chemicals our body processes. Do you not have them... wherever you're from?" Elias took a few hesitant steps towards the large rocks where some of his clothes were drying. He was still taken aback by all this, and he wanted to get some clothes on before this took a turn out of an adult book.

Celena's eyes remained as cold as the ocean, staring at this man as if he were little more than something to study. She knew nothing of him, so why would he be more than that? She did not answer his first question. What she is was mostly a mystery to her as well, so there wasn't a reason to answer. The conversation moved on, questions were asked, and a new word came to her attention. "Dick." she repeated, "So that is what the hanging appendage is called? Interesting name for such a...thing... And I am asking exactly what that this is, of course. Until now, I had not seen what men hide under their garments. And why would I care of its size? Is that important?"

"Do I have one of those hideous things? Of course not. That area of my own body is pretty flat. There is definitely no dick protruding from that location." Celena crossed her arms and raised a brow, watching him inch toward his drying clothes. "Hurry up. It is obvious you wish to dress, so get done. What's with the slow moving? I'll evaporate by the time you gain courage to move."

You're too ignorant to understand why its size might be important, Elias restrained from saying. She didn't seem to get much of anything normal. Or at the very least, she didn't get much about men. It made him think she may have been in one of those "matriarchal" societies out in the wildlands. Or maybe she was a foreigner beyond the Twin Seas—where only women existed. She had apparently known of men... or maybe that's just what they called the less-bosomed women where she was from. But even that didn't make sense to him. It was more like... she was sheltered. It gave her an interesting naïveté—one that gave her certain book knowledge... but when it came to dealing with people, she was more than unlearned.

Despite ignorance being forgivable, it was still annoying to have to deal with someone like her in his current situation. Elias rolled his eyes at her comment. "I didn't mean on you. But you were so confused by it, it seemed like you might not have male... whatever race you are." He took her cue and began dressing. Elias only put on his pants and underpants. His jacket was still filthy and his undershirt still drenched. Sitting on a rock outside of the water—he didn't trust the water with her around—Elias looked at her.

"My name is Elias." He didn't give his surname. Elias was a popular enough name. Elias Sinclair, however, was not. "You have an interesting way of moving about in the water. Is it just this river? Or is it any water?" Elias was curious for a few reasons. One was because she did look pretty cool—being seamless with the water and all. The other big one was that if this encounter turned ugly... he needed to know how far away from water he should be.
