    The Fallen Empty The Fallen

Post by [TheSerenity] Wed Apr 18, 2018 12:09 am

    The Fallen The_Fallen

Max Age: Depends on Curse (If not mentioned in curse, add 100 years from original race)

Basics: To call the Fallen their own race is mostly incorrect. The Fallen are people of other races that have been "corrupted" or "cursed" into being something very different than what they once were. Whether this change is forced upon them or it is a path they've taken willingly, the change is initially directed at their Prime Energy. Once infected, their Prime Energy twists, contorts, corrupts, and becomes darker and darker until it creates a Fallen. These changes can impact appearance and personality. The darker their existence becomes, the darker their mind may become. This is not a requirement of any character, but take into mind that the general public do not like them.

What people need to take into consideration when making a Fallen is that this is a curse. It's not just some power up or extra abilities handed over to your character. It is a powerful influence over the way your character will be forced to live their life. To become a Fallen a character must 1) be turned into one by an already existing Fallen, 2) have dabbled into dark arts they should have stayed away from (i.e completing a dark ritual to become one), or 3) committed some sort of heinous atrocity.

Since all curses attack a characters energy, every Fallen will take a blow to their energy control. Fresh or newly created Fallen will have their Energy control lowered by two skill levels to a minimum of beginner. This also means that no, someone without energy cannot become a Fallen.

There are multiple curses that someone can have brought upon them. Each curse comes with a curse aspect and boon. The boon can be personal and customized, but must be related to the curse chosen. Only one curse per character. This list is subject to change at a moments notice and are listed below:

    FALLEN CURSES

This list may be added onto later.

    >> Blood Wrath Curse: This is the vampire curse. Your heart stops beating. Your skin becomes cold and as pale as the moon. You're so sensitive to natural light that it burns and staying out for longer than a few seconds will turn you to ash. You crave the taste of blood and must consume it or go into a frenzy where you lose control of your morality and attack whatever living thing you see until you've consumed enough blood to sate your thirst. If you can't find anything, then you've found one of the ways for a Blood Wrath Cursed to die. While your life span has increased by a thousand years, it is still possible to be killed. The easiest ways are: starvation, sunlight, stabbed through the heart with a wooden stake, and removing the head from the body. However, burn the pieces before you go!

Boon: Your design, but it must have to do with your consumption of blood or your frenzy. Those who gain this curse only through RP with a PC also gain one skill level to speed, strength, and durability.

RP Bonus: Those who gain this curse through RP gain one level in two chosen physical skills.

    >> Soul Bound: Your soul is ripped from your body and attached to another item or even a person. When the curse is inflicted, the item in question will be within the fifty feet of the character being cursed. This item has to be substantial in some way. It's not going to be a rock, grass, or a something dumb like sand. It'll be a piece of clothing, jewelry, a tool, or even a person. The item does not have to mean anything to the character at the time of being cursed. While this curse gives a character "immortality," once the item is heavily damaged or destroyed, the character dies with it. The item must stay within a 150ft range of the cursed character. If it leaves this range, it can only be that far for a specific amount of time. That amount of time will be equal to one month per sub-tier.

    3-5 = 1 month
    3-4 = 2 months
    3-3 = 3 months
    3-2 = 4 months
    3-1 = 5 months

To make it easy, add 5 months per full tier. So a 2-1 would be 10 months. During the time of your item's absence, your life is slowly draining away. For every month that passes, your body and spirit become weaker and weaker. Mechanically, your tier will lower by one sub-tier per passing month and your skill levels follow. (Follow the tier guidelines for skills when lowering with it.) Once the item is back within 150 feet of you, it takes half the time it was absent to return you to full strength.

Boon: Your boon is customized to your liking, but must deal with your Soulbound Item in some way.

RP Bonus: Those who gain this curse through RP gain one level in two chosen physical skills.

    >> Dawnbringer Curse: During the day, you've got a massive change in appearance. This change is not a positive thing for your character. Whether you grow animalistic traits, have a hunched back, or some other hideous thing occurs, this is what you must deal with until night comes. Once night comes, you return to your original appearance. Whatever change your character has, it's something freakish. It's not pretty. It's not normal. It's treated like a mutation or a sickness by the public.

Boon: Your design, but it must relate to traits your character takes on in their altered form.

RP Bonus: Those who gain this curse through RP gain one level in two chosen physical skills.

    >> Duskbreaker Curse: During the night, you've got a massive change in appearance. This change is not a positive thing for your character. Whether you grow animalistic traits, have a hunched back, or some other hideous thing occurs, this is what you must deal with until night comes. Once day comes, you return to your original appearance. Whatever change your character has, it's something freakish. It's not pretty. It's not normal. It's treated like a mutation or a sickness by the public.

Boon: Your design, but it must relate to traits your character takes on in their altered form.

RP Bonus: Those who gain this curse through RP gain one level to two chosen physical skills.

    The Fallen Questions_Asked

Our races will all be described in a short and straight forward manner, and over time people will ask questions about them. Those questions will be put here to help members out.

    1. What if you are for some random reason completely naked and in the middle of the desert when your Soulbound curse has been inflicted on you?

Answer: For one, you're probably being a smart ass. And for two, then a small marble of whatever pattern you like will appear in your hand. The marble will seem to be made of glass and have swirling energy inside. This item is fragile, but not horribly so. This is your Soulbound item.
